Painting Completed!

No post last weekend as I had not been feeling well, turns out I had contracted an ear and throat infection! Finally feeling a lot better this weekend so I popped by the house to see what Dan, his Mum and my parents had been up to.

They had finished all of the painting! It looks incredible... check out the below sneak peak shots!

Entry Foyer - Feather Dawn by Solver is the light grey (my iPhone unfortunately does not pick the colour up very well!) and Greyfriars by Solver is our feature wall colour.

Our master bedroom we have painted Blue Capri by Pascol and the reason for this colour choice will be revealed when I post the after photos ;)But it does slightly look like a Tiffany & Co box, which is not the theme we are going for haha!

It looks a lot lighter with the light shining on it, this is a much better representation of the colour.

The TV recess has also been painted with Greyfriars by Solver, surrounding walls have been painted with Feather Dawn by Solver.

The ensuite looks relatively the same, we just used a white bathroom/kitchen paint by Pascol to keep the plaster dust at bay.

White Pascol kitchen paint behind the range hood and in the fridge/freezer recess with Feather Dawn by Solver around the pantry door and the kitchen feature bulkheads.

This is the dining wall also painted in Feather Dawn by Solver, you can see there is a slight difference in colour between the white of the ceiling and the walls.

Because the painting was finished off earlier than planned Dan, my Dad and my brother were able to get the sand cleared away and fairly level ready for some concrete paths we are having laid in a couple of weeks. Nothing better than being ahead of schedule!!!

A fair bit of sand had to be dug out from this side!

Rear of the house, another lot of sand cleared ready for a concrete path.

Lots of sand moved, a lot of hard work!

Sand that was dug out, keeping it ready to fill our planter boxes.

The other side which has also been dug out.

Another view of the back garden with all of our lovely little sand piles!

So next weekend Dan is going to lay some piping work underneath the future concrete paths ready for reticulation in our garden. It is definitely all go go at the moment!

  2. "Feather dawn" is top of my shortlist for interior paint, so I'm really glad to see so many pics of it here. I think it is what I'm after. Overall does it look white or grey to you in your kitchen? It's always so hard to tell in photos. In one of your pics it looks slightly pink? Is that real? BTW, your kitchen looks lovely!
